11 Rad Concept Cars We Want to See Produced

I came across this article on The Thinking Blog that I thought was pretty cool, so I wanted to share it with you. It's a list of 11 awesome concept cars that will probably never hit the production line, but it would be cool if they did. Are there any you would add to the list?

Top 10 Most Stolen Vehicles in the U.S.

Do you drive one of the most sought after cars in America? If so, good for you. However, if it's one of the most sought after cars by thieves, that spells trouble. With today's technology, there are plenty of ways to prevent thieves from breaking in and/or stealing your car, such as alarm systems, lo-jack and On-Star. But, those can all get pricey. Have you ever considered simply covering your car with a locking car cover? Not only does a car cover keep your vehicle (and your valuables inside) out of the line of sight of conniving thieves, but it also keeps your paintjob protected from harmful outdoor elements.

I found this list of the Top 10 Most Stolen Cars in the U.S. If your car is listed on here, or even if it’s not, consider the most cost-effective way to keep your car protected from thieves, sun damage and bird droppings. A new car cover is easy to use, and costs much less than installing an ineffective alarm system.

It’s Baaaaack… The El Camino Makes a Return

PickupTrucks.com reports that the Holden VE Ute may come to the U.S., and if it does, it could come as the Chevrolet El Camino. This news comes just one year after being killed last year. This plan is far from settled right now, but looks likes this time, it may actually go through.

Tell us, are you a fan of the Chevy El Camino? Or, would you rather people make up their minds and choose only 1—either a truck or a car, you can’t have them both!

Half Porsche, Half UFO... What Do You Think?

shiny_porsche

Is this proof of life on another planet? Seriously, how shiny does this Porsche need to be? I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but good luck trying to blend in with the traffic when you're going 100 on the freeway and look like you're wrapped in tin foil. Perhaps just some simple, yet classy chrome accessories would've been sufficient. What do you think?

The auto industry has finally done it! Yup, as of now, there's an app for that. And, it's a pretty cool one. The auto industry's first working smartphone app actually allows Chevy Volt owners to control their vehicles functions.

According to Jalopnik, in addition to traditional OnStar features, like door lock and unlock, this app features functions like charge status and remote start. You will be able to “Charge Now” or to schedule charge timing and display the percentage of battery charge level, electric and total ranges.

In addition, this app will also display miles per gallon, electric-only miles and odometer readings for last trip and lifetime.
