Batmobile Replica

You think Batman is some made-up super hero, don't you? Well, then explain how I saw him drive right by me the other day. Ok, maybe I didn't really see him, but 'm sure some of you out there have. Or, at least an obsessive fan who designed a $1,000,000+ Batmobile replica.

It started when a wealthy Swede purchased a 1973 Lincoln Continental. 3 years and $1 million later, he ended up with a real-life replica of the famous Batmobile. The replica is loaded with gadgets and has built-in satellite navigation, voice recognition, machine guns, reversing cameras, a DVD player, a plasma TV and even height-adjustable bodywork. Oh, and did I mention it has 700 hp?

Looking for a way to customize your ride without going overboard? Slap on some auto accessories that not only personalize it, but can add protection, horsepower and fuel efficiency.

Let Me Introduce You to the Lambo Gallardo Superleggera

Unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show, this is the new Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. It's the lightweight edition of Lambo's littlest super car, weighing in at about 88lbs lighter than a standard Gallardo. It uses more carbon fibre throughout the cabin, including the center console and seat shells, but the biggest savings in weight come from the new lightweight wheels. Those alone cut off about 28.5 pounds.

Equipped with a 5.2L V10, with 561 hp, it's also the most powerful Gallardo. It can hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 202 mph.

500-hp Plug-In Porsche Makes Me Drool

Now, I know it wasn't too long ago that I posted a blog about my not liking most hybrid and electric cars. That being said- I think it's important to note that I am not a hyprocrite. While I'm not about to run out and purchase a Toyota Prius (for more reasons than just the abundance of recalls), nor am I ever going to purchase a Think City, I can't help myself but to swoon over the ever-so-sexy, plug-in hybrid supercar -- the 918 Spyder.

Porsche is making some big claims about the 918 Spyder saying it will have 500 hp, a mid-engine V-8 and two electric motors. Not to mention that it's claimed to get a whopping 78.4 mpg. In addition, they say it will be able to go from zero to 62 in 3.2 seconds and have a top speed of 198 mph.

This is one electric car I wouldn't turn my back against. Although, I'm sure I'd have to win a few times on the nickel machines before I could afford this bad boy.

Top 10 Uncoolest Cars of All Time

I always bring you the coolest, fastest, most awesome cars, but today I thought - what the heck - let's switch it up a bit. Why make you feel about abuot not being about to afford a decked-out Lambo or a souped-up Porsche? It's time to make you feel good about what you drive. Check out these lame-ass cars, and be thankful that you don't drive one... unless you do... Here's the list of the top 10 uncoolest cars of all time. Please feel free to make any additions!

High-Performance Electric Vehicles

Want to help the environment, but don't want to drive a lame electric car that doesn't go faster than 55 mph? Or, are you just worried that your neighbor will see your go-green car and start calling you a tree hugger? Get the looks of a hot sports car, and save the environment at the same time with a Tesla Roadster. Its 2x more efficient than a Prius, and 100x better looking! Your Roadster can take you from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. It's 100% electric, and has 288 hp. BUT (and notice that's a big but), a Tesla Roadster starts at $108,000. So, while you may be looking good and saving trees, you definitely won't be saving pennies. For less expenisive (but still hot) options, check out the Tesla Model S, starting at $49,900.

Half Porsche, Half UFO... What Do You Think?

shiny_porsche

Is this proof of life on another planet? Seriously, how shiny does this Porsche need to be? I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but good luck trying to blend in with the traffic when you're going 100 on the freeway and look like you're wrapped in tin foil. Perhaps just some simple, yet classy chrome accessories would've been sufficient. What do you think?

The auto industry has finally done it! Yup, as of now, there's an app for that. And, it's a pretty cool one. The auto industry's first working smartphone app actually allows Chevy Volt owners to control their vehicles functions.

According to Jalopnik, in addition to traditional OnStar features, like door lock and unlock, this app features functions like charge status and remote start. You will be able to “Charge Now” or to schedule charge timing and display the percentage of battery charge level, electric and total ranges.

In addition, this app will also display miles per gallon, electric-only miles and odometer readings for last trip and lifetime.
