Want to help the environment, but don't want to drive a lame electric car that doesn't go faster than 55 mph? Or, are you just worried that your neighbor will see your go-green car and start calling you a tree hugger? Get the looks of a hot sports car, and save the environment at the same time with a Tesla Roadster. Its 2x more efficient than a Prius, and 100x better looking! Your Roadster can take you from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. It's 100% electric, and has 288 hp. BUT (and notice that's a big but), a Tesla Roadster starts at $108,000. So, while you may be looking good and saving trees, you definitely won't be saving pennies. For less expenisive (but still hot) options, check out the Tesla Model S, starting at $49,900.

Is this proof of life on another planet? Seriously, how shiny does this Porsche need to be? I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but good luck trying to blend in with the traffic when you're going 100 on the freeway and look like you're wrapped in tin foil. Perhaps just some simple, yet classy chrome accessories would've been sufficient. What do you think?

The auto industry has finally done it! Yup, as of now, there's an app for that. And, it's a pretty cool one. The auto industry's first working smartphone app actually allows Chevy Volt owners to control their vehicles functions.
According to Jalopnik, in addition to traditional OnStar features, like door lock and unlock, this app features functions like charge status and remote start. You will be able to “Charge Now” or to schedule charge timing and display the percentage of battery charge level, electric and total ranges.
In addition, this app will also display miles per gallon, electric-only miles and odometer readings for last trip and lifetime.
In case you missed 26-year old Travis Pastrana's record breaking 250-foot jump on New Year's Eve, here it is. The previous record was 171 feet. Pastrana leaped off the pier in Long Beach, CA. Check it out.
