EPA: Honda Has the Most Fuel-Efficient Lineup

According to US News, Honda is the automaker with the most fuel-efficient fleet, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, with Hyundai and Toyota rounding out the top three. This definitely didn't come as a shock to us.
Honda had the best fuel economy average of 23.6 mpg. Hyundai followed closely with 23.4, and Toyota averaged 23.2. At the end of the list Ford Motor Co. was in seventh with a 20.5 mpg, General Motors Co. was in eighth at 19.9 mpg, and Chrysler was the least efficient at 18.7 mpg.
Don't be discouraged, Americans. These figures are based on real-world fuel-economy rankings and sales figures rather than the window stickers. The Big Three automakers sell a large number of trucks, which brings down their average--not necessarily meaning that American automakers don't make fuel-efficient cars.
